The Sherri Harvey Colonic Adenocarcinoma Foundation (SHCAF) is a Tallahassee based non-profit charity initially established to provide various medical and financial resources to my sister, Sherri Harvey, who was diagnosed with Colonic Adenocarcinoma on November 12, 2007.  It has now become the mission of  the SHCAF to provide these resources to not only my sister, but to others in our community suffering with this disease, while raising awareness, identifying treatment options and helping to find a cure.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The 2nd Annual SHCAF Community Cookout and Weiner Dog Derby is tentatively scheduled for

Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Tom Brown Park from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., EST.

PAST EVENTS

The 1st Annual SHCAF Community Cookout and Weiner Dog Derby was held on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 at Tom Brown Park in Tallahassee, Florida.  It was a great success and a lot of fun.  Thank you to all of our sponsors and to the community for volunteering, sponsoring the event and for your donations.

A Community Garage Sale Fundraiser was held on June 7th, 2008. Another great success and a lot of fun.  Special thanks to the Tallahassee Rollergirls for their donations, volunteer hours and coordination assistance.

The Tallahassee Rollergirls Derby was held on June 14, 2008.  Cancer materials were made available to derby attendees via a merchandise table and the foundation was mentioned several times by ShowTime, the derby girls announcer (a/k/a Will Blanton).  

We couldn't have held these events without the help and partnership of our many sponsors, volunteers, family and friends.  Thank you to all who made donations, volunteered time and sponsored the events.
